As an MV16 student you will be expected to have excellent attandance, maintain high standards and show commitment to your studies. In return you can expect guidance, access to excellent teaching and learning facilities and support in all aspects of student life.
Expectations of our students:
As an MV16 student, you should have excellent time management. You should be punctual and ensure your attandance is kept above 95%. Part time work should not interfere with your studies - it should not exceed 12 hours per week or begin before 5pm. You will also be expected to attend registration, assemblies, tutorial and appointments.
You will be expected to maintain a high standard of work and to complete your coursework and homework to ALPS standard and meet all targets set by your teachers and tutors.
You should show commitment to your studies. Study periods should be used for independant learning within the centre. You will study three A Levels (or equivalent). An active involvement in extra-curricular activities at MV16 is encouraged.
Expectations from the Centre:
You will recieve regular feedback and guidance, clear targets based on achievement and guidance or referral over financial, personal or social matters. We also offer independent, high quality careers guidance for employment and higher education.
MV16 provides high quality teaching and studying facilities. Our teaching staff offer innovative and engaging lessons. You will have access to excellent study facilities and will be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
Academic tutoring is available for all students. You will have access to a personal tutor who will monitor progress and offer support when necessary. Parents may also be involved where your teacher or tutor feels that additional support is needed from home.
